St. Patty’s Day Cupcakes {pictures wanted}
It’s that time of year again, good old Saint Patrick’s Day!
…green, green…GREEN!
Listen up: I’m going to do a roundup of all the St. Patrick-themed cupcakes in Utah. So be sure to upload them to flickr, your blog or Web site…heck, even email pix to me! I don’t care if you are a cupcakery, bakery or just making your own at home. I want to see what you’re up to and I want to see lots green, four-leaf clovers, Leprechauns, Celtic crosses, pots of gold and exciting flavors. I’ll do two seperate posts: one for professionals and one for Utah Cupcake Lovers. Have everything uploaded or emailed to me {utahlovescupcakes[at]gmail[dot]com} by Wednesday, March 11 at midnight.

Cupcakes @ the NEW Blue Lemon Bistro in Highland
Thanks to a tip from an awesome friend and blogger, I found out about the grand opening of Blue Lemon Bistro in Highland. I’m hoping to head over there later today. New Cupcake Aprons from Flirty Aprons
Flirty Aprons added a new cupcake apron to their line–this one is called “Frosted Cupcake!” How cute, right? It will be replacing the Bite Sized cupcake apron (blogged here). It comes in a regular flirty apron size and a mini flirty apron size for little girls!
Hopefully we’ll see their cute, and original frosted cupcake design make it to the waist apron line! By the way, it looks like they are doing free shipping on all their orders right now…check out the Flirty Apron site.

New Bakery in Lehi Utah – THE CHOCOLATE
Um yeah!
I recently discovered THE CHOCOLATE: A Dessert Bakery in Lehi.
Immediately I was intregued by the name. Chocolate, ey? Then after falling in love with the brown and olive color combination with simple lines and circles I was hooked. Then I browsed through THE CHOCOLATE’s Web site, which I might add, is probably the one of the better bakery/cupcakery sites out there. It’s chocked full of menu with clear pricing, catering info, contact links, photo gallery and a freakin FAQ.
Gosh, I hadn’t even tried the cupcakes yet!
But wait, it gets better. I discover that Ange, the owner, uses local and um..imports her chocolate from Switzerland!
This isn’t the last you’ll hear of THE CHOCOLATE…because I had the pleasure of trying her cupcakes today! So more to come.
In the meantime, browse the site, add her blog to your feed and try her goodies for yourself!
FYI: THE CHOCOLATE opened it’s doors mid November and is set to open a store front early this year!

Each time I read her blog I imagine what the frosting must taste like on each of those little cupcakes.
I first found Carly’s blog through the Daring Baker’s Blogroll, a baking group we are both part of.
Anyway, she’s a cupcake lover, baker and entrepreneur: she just opened her own spa/boutique appropriately called “From Head to Heel” in November.
