So Cupcake & Ice Cream Truck Deliver Birthday Parties
So Cupcake and The Ice Cream Man Don Gansen merged on a project to bring Cupcake & Ice cream Trucks to Utah! I’m not sure what their routes are, but I do know that they host, or rather, deliver birthday parties. A fan of So Cupcake’s Facebook page gave this awesome testimonial:
“We had the Cupcake truck over our house for a birthday party!
It was so awesome !!!!!!
We heard them coming down the street with the Happy Birthday song playing !!
They pulled up to my house and gave out Cupcakes , Ice Cream and Party supplies.
This was the easiest way to have the kids party and the price was right !!!

Bite into a Cupcake Tonight – Twilight Eclipse Cupcakes
Twilight Eclipse cupcakes at The Sweet Tooth Fairy in St. George, Utah Flavors left to right, Edward: vanilla with vanilla frosting and a shimmer topping, Bella: red velvet with cream cheese frosting, Jacob: chocolate with chocolate frosting covered in graham cracker crumbs.
The Twilight Saga is just as popular, if not more than cupcakes these days. ‘Twihards’ will be visiting theaters for midnight screenings of Eclipse tonight. These crazy fans will most likely be adorned in black, red, and white and perhaps fangs. One can only hope they’ll have a cupcake in hand. Several local bakeries are participating in the vampire and werewolf rivalry. You can walk into The Sweet Tooth Fairy St. George location and choose Team Edward or Team Jacob, by selecting cupcakes with Twilight-themed cupcake toppers. So Cupcake in Salt Lake City is offering the ‘Jacob Six Pack’, a six pack of dark chocolate cupcakes. Other bakeries may not have Twilight cupcakes in their cases but are accepting custom orders. To know for sure, check out the Utah Loves Cupcakes Cupcake Locations list and give your local Utah cupcake bakery a call.

Cupcake Trends: Chandeliers in Cupcake Shops
Ever since I started this blog I’ve noticed that many, okay…most…cupcake shops have some sort of chandelier in their store. Have you noticed? I mean, why not? You have to have some sort of lighting and a way to make your shop your own…why not use a chandelier?
Take a peek at some cool chandeliers and cupcake shop decor in Utah’s cupcake bakeries.

It was love at first sight for me when it came to these unique chandeliers inside Flour Girls and Dough Boys bakery in American Fork, Utah.

Here’s a pretty in pink decorated chandelier in So Cupcake (SLC, Utah).
Okay, these little glittered birds on the chandeliers at Mrs. Baker’s Pastry Shop (SLC, Utah) are cool. If you haven’t been inside Mrs. Backer’s yet, it’s a Utah-must! It’s so cute, cluttered with pretties and wonderful!
Here’s a closeup of a birdie.
You can’t see this chandelier very well inside of Dear Lizzie (Highland, Utah) but it’s there.
I’m not quite sure what Babycakes Utah looks like currently. But this is where I used to eat cupcakes when they had their bistro and cupcakery inside of Primrose Retreat. I think this area may now be a reception center. Either way, there is a chandelier.
Next time you pass through or stay in Saint George, Utah please PLEASE visit Twenty Five Main Cafe and Cake Parlor. I went there a few months ago and just loved it! (Dude, I need to give you guys my review…I’m so late on this!) I love the inside of their cafe and bakery!

Mini’s Cupcakes in Salt Lake City (Utah’s first cupcakery) has some dang cool chandeliers. Take a look.
I think this one is on their recent extension they call the Retro Cafe. LOVE IT!

I hope you all celebrate in some way, shape or form! I for one will be starting my “cupcake goal” list for 2010, buying cupcakes for a gathering and um…continue working on a special cupcake recipe I’ve been designing for the last year.
As I think this blog I have to show you the first Utah cupcake I enjoyed!
I can’t remember for sure, but I believe it was a mini red velvet. But I do know that it is from So Cupcake and it was my birthday cupcake back in 2008.
I’d also like to wish myself a wonderful 1 year anniversary for this blog. My official anniversary date is December 1. And I failed to celebrate it. See my very first post here.
It’s been a wonderful year for me. I’ve met so many friends, ate too many cupcakes, yet not near enough and really developed a greater love for small business, baking, photography, writing and um…cupcakes!

So Cupcake recently changed, or rather updated, their cupcakes page on their Web site. It’s super cute and shows a gazillon flavor options! I also think it is really helpful because it tells you what they do what, when and other cool info about their daily cupcake baking routine. Very smart if you ask me. You must take a look! (though i sorta miss the descriptions of each cupcake I’m a happy girl!) …and um they have like 50 flavors! holy cow
Here’s what it says:
Our cupcakes are baked fresh everyday. Each morning we bake all cupcakes from our regular list and select some from our specialty list. To find out what specials are available each day, follow us on Twitter or become a fan on our Facebook page.
