Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase
My sweet and thoughtful Dad gave me an adorable gift tonight: a Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase. He came across them at a gift show in New York City and thought of me. Isn’t he the best? The Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase is completely new to me and I love it…such a great find. It is perfect for any cupcake or flower lover.
The Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase is made from safe, non-latex EVA that is reusable. It seems super simple to use. First you fill the vase with a bit of water by just squeezing the flexible vase. Then you simple place the flowers in the placement holes to make the perfect arrangement. And it’s super easy to clean. Just rinse out, and maybe use a bit of soapy water and you are good to go.
Here’s what the Fleur Daily says about their cupcake vases:
“The perfect accessory for festive occasions and weddings. For professional or DIY florists, these non-breakable vases are ideal for transporting and best of all, no need for floral foam. Complete with carry basket, these quick and easy to decorate floral gifts are latex free and great for hospitals, rest homes and parties.”

I just think these are absolutely adorable and fun. I’d love to see them pop up in Utah’s local bakeries, cupcakeries and flower shops for purchase. I can’t wait to buy some flowers and have fun filling my Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase. There are so many options.

As you can see the cupcake vase comes in six different colors: raspberry (that’s the one I have!), bubblegum, vanilla, lemon, lavender and chocolate.
I’m so happy to have discovered these cute cupcake vases. Thanks, Dad!
If you would like to purchase the cupcake vase ($10.95), head on over to the Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase site. And if you are a cupcakery, bakery or flower shop that is interested in purchasing them at wholesale visit that site as well. I seriously think these will sell great!

3 Cupcake Thangs to do this weekend in Utah!
Looking for something to do this weekend? I’ve got 3 great cupcake-related activites to do! Some involve fashion, some involve consuming cupcakes and another is something to do at home! But hey, why not do all?
1) Buy a purple cupcake for a great cause at Cutsie Cakes, So Cupcake or Diva’s Cupcakes & Coffee. Friday and Saturday.

Today and tomorrow the Cocoa Diva is sprinkled with purple sprinkles and the Raspberry Vanilla has purple frosting.
2) Buy a Sprinkles cupcakes mix from Williams-Sonoma, make cupcakes at home!
– I think these mixes are great. I’ve tried all but one and have nothing but good to say about them. As much as I’m all about baking from scratch…sometimes it’s just convenient and fun to try a mix. Plus it makes me feel that much closer to Sprinkles!
5) Buy a cupcake T-shirt from The Cocoa Bean Cupcake Café…and obviously eat one of their cupcakes and heck, get a drink too! I own this “Don’t call me muffin” shirt in blue and I love it! I get comments about it all the time.

Have a great weekend! Eat a cupcake!
Juicy Couture Cupcake Earrings
While I was chilling in Beverly Hills and eating Sprinkles cupcakes last month. I picked up these cupcake earrings.
yes…they were found in the kids section of Juicy Couture. When I was asking some questions about them the sales girl said, “How old is the person they are for?” I said proudly “Oh? They are for me!” Seriously…this is a reoccurring thing for me. Don’t most people realize that a twenty-something can love cupcakes? Ignorance I tell you…ignorance.
OH, they also have a cupcake necklace, cupcake bracelet and cupcake hair band.
And, while we are talking about Juicy Couture.
Enjoy these adorable Juicy Couture cupcakes made by Kara of Kara’s Cupcakes and Kara’s Party Ideas.
Cupcake Cookie Jar turned Cupcake Tip Jar
This adorable and giant cupcake cookie jar makes it home at Provo’s newest cupcake hangout, The Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe. This picture was taken on their friends and family night. I automatically fell in love…
then two days later I found it being used in a new way.
a cupcake tip jar. LOVE IT! Now, your wondering..what? I have to give a tip on my cupcake? No. I’m assuming these are for the cocoa bean drinks. I’ll be honest, I’d probably never tip on a cupcake unless it was the best cupcake I’d ever had in my life. EVER! …and I’m a huge proponent of cupcakes.
…but i would tip on a drink.
Have you been to The Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe yet?

Cupcake Stamp from American Crafts Warehouse Sale!
I’ve been keeping a secret from you all.
I feel rather guilty.
Earlier this month I attended a preview of the American Crafts Warehouse event in Orem, Utah. Ahhh man was it amazing.
I have to admit, though… I am not, in any way, shape or form a scrapbooker. (gasp!)
So I was thinking, cool. I’ll go. They may have some paper products out there for me…and I just love sales! So um…an hour later I walked out with way more than I thought.
I was so happy to be invited to this event because I got to know American Crafts a bit better and I must apologize because I really had no clue who they really were….and let me just say…they are way more than a scrapbook company. There is something for everyone, even cupcake lovers!
Like this adorable cupcake stamp!
The sale runs through December 24…and then opens again until New Year’s Eve!

Check out this post on my other blog, Project Domestication to see what else I purchased! (Hint…i bought some cute stickers and wrapping paper!)

Guest Post: The Stationery Place
editor’s note: Lyndsey (aka Paper Girl) is one of my favorite IRL bloggie buds. We met in college and some might say we rocked the PR world. She has spent the last few years in LA PR-ing it up and is now back in Utah. Lyndsey is nothing less than geniune, fun, spunky, creative and very in-tune with life! I am happy to have her guest posting today and happy to have her part of the utah cupcake scene!
hello, utah loves cupcakes readers!
i was so excited when becky asked me to guest post on ULC. i have loooong been a cupcake lover, and now i’m trying to be a utah lover too as i just moved to utah valley from los angeles in july. so far this beautiful state has opened me with welcome arms [and a few visits to the sweet tooth fairy haven't hurt, either].
my speciality is paper products, as you might notice from my blog the stationery place. for my guest post, i thought i’d highlight a few adorable stationery products that are perfect for all you cupcake fiends out there. they’re almost cute enough to eat!
i’m a total letterpress fan, so if you’re looking for a cute card to buy for someone i highly recommend snow & graham. check out this adorable letterpressed birthday card available from luxe paperie:

if you’re a diy-type person, check out this adorable cupcake hole punch from paper source [my FAVE paper supply store...sadly you'll have to mail-order as they don't have any brick-and-mortar stores in utah]:

paper source even gives a great, simple tutorial for making this cupcake card on their blog:

i’ve also tried my hand at a few cupcake-themed cards of late — you can pick up this card, along with a few of my other designs, at the coffee pod in provo. they sell cupcake chic cupcakes there too — as you may remember from a past ULC post.

this one is super easy to imitate. i picked some pink paper, cut it in the shape of a frosting blob and stuck it to my flat white cardstock with double-sided tape.
next i used embroidery thread to create the cupcake liner — poke holes in the cardstock first so you know where you’re aiming.
then i added the “thanks cupcake” tag and glued the cardstock cover onto a pink folded card. voila! my own cupcake card, perfect to send to that thoughtful friend who brought you cupcakes last week from their fave utah bakery…

feel free to check out my blog anytime for new paper projects and info on the latest designers and paper companies. and enjoy your cupcakes!
Be sure to follow Lyndsey on twitter too! Thanks Lyndsey!
Crocheted Cupcake from Made by Ali
Could you imagine coming home to an adorable cupcake like this?
I can. Because I did! The sweet and very cool might I add, Ali of Made by Ali gave this to me a few weeks ago!
I’ve got it sitting on a mini cake stand on my bar. It just so fun!
I can’t decide what I should put in it? Any ideas?
I love the yarn Ali chose for the top. it’s so delicate yet colorful!
Aren’t I a lucky cupcake-loving-girl!
Check out the other handmade goods on Made by Ali. She’s a talented gal.
The Cupcase
Hey Friends,
I’m currently in the process of reviewing this awesome product! It really is so fabulous! I’ve been keeping it in my purse for about a week or so just in case I run into a cupcake that I need to bring home! Watch the video! It’s informative and may possibly make you chuckle.

The product is called The Cupcase! It is a food-safe plastic container that stores individual cupcakes for on-the-go use! If you’re like me then you’ll love this product. Every time I stop off at a cupcake bakery I either want to bring one home to my hub or save one for later. The Cupcase is perfect!
Expect a full review that includes photos of the Cupcase in action and Utah Cupcakes in them.

Cupcake Cards by The Stationary Place
I have to start out by saying that I’m a little perterbed. I wrote this post like two weeks ago thought it went up. Turns out it is exists no where! I have no clue where it went. It is not even in a draft!
Anyway…I just have to tell you about these adorable cupcake cards made by my awesome IRL friend Lyndsey of The Stationary Place. Before I get into her cards and paper products I must say Lynds has got know cupcakes… she just moved from LA, home of freaking Sprinkles (which makes me uber jealous)…anyway. she’s getting into the Utah blogging (and cupcake) scene. whoo-rawwwh.
Check this cutie out:

this is my favorite. and i now own it. i just love the hand stitching and colors. i can’t wait to give it to someone.

You are probably wondering where you can get these cupcake cards in utah? You can buy them at The Coffee Pod in Provo. Lynds has conveniently placed them near the register. isn’t this brown and orange one adorable?
so what would you pair with a cute cupcake card? hum…let’s think?

i’m thinking you pair it with CUPCAKES! specifically a cupcake from Cupcake Chic also found at The Coffee Pod. (this post just keeps getting better doesn’t it!)

here’s that cute card again! ahhh i love it! nothing says thanks like a cupcake!

and The Stationary Place offers way more than just cupcake cards. be sure to check out Lyndsey’s blog and etsy site!

Cupcake Liner Garland
I ran across this very lovely and quite inventive cupcake liner garland when I was browsing the talented Lacey Jane Pappas flickr stream. When we finally get (we = me and who ever wants to help) our buts in gear and start our Utah Cupcake Meetups, I’d love to have Lacey J teach us how to make these! Head on over to Lacey J’s photostream, her blog: happy:blissful and Your Heart Out (the blog i oh-so-adore and read every day) for more of her work. Lacey J recently visited Studio 5 to discuss photo composition. I haven’t watched it yet…but I’m going to very soon. More info here.
But for real…anyone interested in getting this Cupcake Meetup in action email me. I’ve already got some help and enthusiasm from a few folks, but the more the merrier so we can get the wheels in motion. In fact, I already know where we are going to host it.
Cupcake T-shirts
So far, I think So Cupcake and Mini’s are the only cupcakeries/bakeries that have their own shirt. (Please, correct me if I am wrong)
I think it’s about time I start my collection…

Cupcake Supply Organization
Utah Cupcake Lover and Flickr user Cholie Ann knows whats up when it comes to organizing her cupcake supplies!
How do you organize all your cupcake goodness?

Cuppie in Utah!!!
Our darling fun and spunky friend, Cuppie the Cupcake, has visited Utah. Yep that’s right the talented Jessie Oleson has painted Cuppie amidst Southern Utah’s arches! Here’s what she has to say in her cakespyshop about the original and adorable painting:
“Cakespy’s mission is to spread happiness and sweetness through the world through joyful little pastries. Why not add some sweetness to your life…or give a sweet gift to a loved one…by buying one of our original pen and ink / watercolor works? This painting is rendered on nice thick Bristol board and it comes framed in a 2.5 x 3.5 inch frame.
This time, Cuppie’s going on an adventure in Utah–checking out some of the gorgeous natural scenery!”
I don’t know about you guys, but I really need (not just want) to buy this! By the way, if you are not familiar with Cuppie the Cupcake and Jessie Oleson of Cakespy then you are missing out. Check out her blog and etsy shop NOW! {buy cuppie in Utah here}
New Cupcake Aprons from Flirty Aprons
Flirty Aprons added a new cupcake apron to their line–this one is called “Frosted Cupcake!” How cute, right? It will be replacing the Bite Sized cupcake apron (blogged here). It comes in a regular flirty apron size and a mini flirty apron size for little girls!
Hopefully we’ll see their cute, and original frosted cupcake design make it to the waist apron line! By the way, it looks like they are doing free shipping on all their orders right now…check out the Flirty Apron site.
