Utah Loves Cupcakes LOVES supporting local vendors! Here’s a list of vendors who make great ingredients commonly used in cupcakes.
Keep in mind this is a growing list. At the moment, I believe these are quality ingredients and companies. I either use the products myself or enjoy certain cupcakeries/bakeries’ whose products contain these ingredients.
If you have a local product that you believe belongs on this list, email me at utahlovescupcakes[at]gmail[dot]com.
Amano Artisan Chocolate – Chocolate
La Nay Ferme CSA – Produce (herbs, strawberries, edible flowers)
Lehi Roller Mills – Flour, Oats, Bran, etc
Meadow Gold – Dairy
Winder Farms/Dairy – Dairy, produce, etc
BYU Creamery – Dairy
V Chocolates – Chocolate
Knight Family Honey – Honey
Young Living Farms Lavender – Lavender
Redmond Real Salt – Salt
Western Nut Company – Nuts
Blue Cattle Truck Company – Mexican Vanilla
SUPPORT LOCAL – Web sites

I try my hardest to stay local with my ingredients. Lehi Roller Mill flour is by far the best and I love BYU creameries buttermilk!
Good list! I try to stay away from anything that has sucralose and aspartame (artificial sugar).
Have you ever made any gluten-free cupcakes? Baking gluten-free is definitely a new challenge, but the number of people who are gluten intolerant is dramatically on the rise…it might bring you a larger customer pool!

Great cupcake blog. You can also buy Lavender from Lavender Hill in the Ogden Valley. Besides all our other lavender products, we have culinary lavender in two different size bags. For the Ogden folks, it’s alot closer then the Young Living farm in Mona. I will be at the Ogden farmers market every saturday ifyou would ike to meet.
Best regards,
Carli
