Spend some time out on the patio at Diva’s Cupcakes & Coffee

I’m a fan of Diva’s Cupcakes & Coffee — but there are two problems I have. 1) i don’t live nearly as close as i’d like 2) they are not on twitter, flickr nor do they have a blog. So this makes it a lot harder for me to gather information about them. I promise i’m not lazy. I call in periodically or search online to see what’s new or get the latest flavors…but because of this, Diva’s is not on the front my mind leading to fewer posts/updates about their DELICIOUS cupcakes and AMAZING venue.
My original intention for this post was to share with you a great review I found on YELP of Diva’s Cupcakes & Coffee. All pictures and copy below are from Yelp and credited to the Yelp users Betsy H. and Nick W.
however…i just spent a moment googling some things and just realized they are on Facebook! So this is huge for me! Yay, I can feel more connected to them!
Okay on to the YELP goodness:

4/5 stars
I am notorious for my love of cupcakes. So when I recently received an award for being “Employee of the Month”, my boss knew a great prize would be a gift certificate for, naturally, cupcakes.
So, on a balmy Saturday afternoon, with my BFF in tow, I ventured out to Diva’s to use my gift certificate.
The first thing I can tell you about Diva’s is this: You could get lost in this place. For days. (And that’s a good thing.) It is definitely not your run-of-the mill square coffee shop. I actually don’t know how to describe the building, exactly. There is a huge, outdoor dining area, an indoor atrium, a library, as well as your expected general seating areas. Let’s just say there are tons of spots you could hide yourself away with a cup of coffee and a cupcake, and make good use of the free wi-fi for a few hours.
The service was really good. The employees were really knowledgable, and super friendly. I enjoyed talking to them!
And really, it seemed like the prices were really good. For $15.94 we got: 2 cupcakes, a vegetarian hummus wrap (which was huge, by the way), a cup of tomato basil soup, and a generous piece of vegetarian quiche. The price was definitely right.
I should mention that all the food was excellent. The soup was really hot, and a lot better than your typical tomato soup- this was slightly chunky from pureed veggies, and had fresh basil in it. The hummus wrap was divine, with tons of fresh veggies and a thick slice of smoked gouda and was served with a balsamic dip, and the quiche was super tasty.
There were actually a lot of people there, but it didn’t seem crowded, because there were so many seats. It seemed to be a diverse and ecclectic crowd of people. Would make for some great people watching.
I’ll definitely be back.
Great review…and I love her description of the location. It seriously is amazing! Here are more photos:
