*The name of it Blue Cattle Truck Mexican Vanilla
* Made in Springville, Utah {woot woot} I love local ingredients!
* It was on Martha Stewart!
* It is amazing!
* I wished I would have bought the 16 oz. bottle
Thanks Marlo Scott, owner of NYC’s Sweet Revenge for sharing your secret with the world! You are too kind and I want to try your Pure.

Flirty Aprons added a new cupcake apron to their line–this one is called “Frosted Cupcake!” How cute, right? It will be replacing the Bite Sized cupcake apron (blogged here). It comes in a regular flirty apron size and a mini flirty apron size for little girls!
Hopefully we’ll see their cute, and original frosted cupcake design make it to the waist apron line! By the way, it looks like they are doing free shipping on all their orders right now…check out the Flirty Apron site.

THE LITTLE DEVIL
I’m pretty sure this is the most popular cupcake sold at American Fork’s Dippidee.
I’ve had it…and it is good.
It’s a chocolate cake with a sweet creamy filling and topped off a generous swirl of Dippidee’s famous chocolate buttercream frosting.

Check out Dippidee’s official blog and find out how you can get a free little devil!

A few years ago, Lindsey, of the blog Cafe Johnsonia, ran out of white sugar when she was making cupcakes for her son’s first birthday…so she made some changes to an already great recipe and came up with this one! She says it’s a keeper and by the looks of these cupcakes and the recipe, I think I’m about to try it! By the way, If you live in Utah and don’ know about Cafe Johnsonia’s food blog…well then, I don’t know what to tell you. You must know about it and you must follow it.
We’ve all know for a while that Cold Stone is offering a limited time ice cream cupcake. So…have you tried one yet?(I have–read here for my review)
If you haven’t tried one yet, here’s a link to all of Utah’s Cold Stone Creamery locations. You have until March 31 before they are gone!

Do you have a favorite cupcake bath bomb? These ones are found at Provo’s The Sweet Tooth Fairy.

I’d like to try these huckleberry bliss cupcakes by Layton’s CutsieCakes! They’re described as a moist chocolate cake infused with huckleberry syrup then topped with a fresh huckleberry glaze . At the moment, Cutsie Cakes is an out-of-home custom cupcake business but they should be opening their doors (in Layton) come late summer!
The Sweet Tooth Fairy, Flour Girls & Dough Boys and Primrose Retreat’s cupcakes were all mentioned in this recent article in the Daily Herald. Check it out!

KSL recently did a story about American’s spending less on Valentine’s this year…and as we all know, cupcakes are a way to stay in your budget and still say I love you! Leslie Fiet from Mini’s Gourmet Cupcakes was interviewed. Watch it here.

This is currently my favorite cupcake at Les Madeleines. It’s their Vegas Baby - a classic vanilla cupcake with red hots in the middle. The frosting is a cream cheese ( I believe) with real white chocolate sprinkles. Isn’t it such a festive Valentine’s cupcake?

There’s a great article in the Deseret News today about cupcakes and Utah.
Here’s a little slice of it: “Valentine’s Day is a great time to brush up on cupcake cuisine, as they lend themselves to hearts, flowers and all kinds of cutesy decorations.” Utah Loves Cupcakes and Cupcakes Take The Cake even got a mention!
{hip hip–let’s eat a cupcake to celebrate!}
Looks like we’ve found another local cupcake apron! I saw this cute kid’s cupcake apron on Studio 5 this morning!
It’s by Jillie Willie and its called “Dessert!”
They’ve also got three sizes: adult, child and toddler. My favorite part: the heart pocket!

Anyone know what city they are based out of?
pretty pretty cupcakes found in the bistro at dear lizzie

Springville’s Cupcake Chic has a weekly standing order:
24 mini cupcakes!
Look how yummy:
The client freezes the minis and pulls a couple out each morning for breakfast with…
get this…a diet coke! Ahhh I love this woman! I would love to meet her.
Trista, Cupcake Chic owner, says the client’s favorite is coconut. But she is really into the lemon and orange cream too!
So there you have it folks. If you are ever wondering what to pair with diet coke in the morning–you now know Cupcake Chic is the way to go!
p.s. i found out via Twitter that she is experimenting with shipping her cupcakes!
